Great Yarmouth has a great deal to offer with various attractions to suit
all. The Golden Mile with it’s restaurants, nightclubs and amusements is
just a short walk from the Shrewsbury or five minutes walk will find you in the town
centre with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants.
Firework displays have now become a regular event in Great Yarmouth on
Wednesday nights, the fun starts at 8pm with a musical roadshow on the jetty at Marine
Parade followed by fireworks at approximately 10 p.m. Displays will take place
from 27th July to 24th August.
The area of Great Yarmouth includes Gorleston on Sea and twenty-one villages that are set
in beautiful coastal and rural settings alongside the famous Norfolk Broads. The
surrounding countryside beckons with historic houses, fine gardens, wildlife parks,
castles, crafts and bygone days collections to visit.

properties. The town has a rich maritime and fishing heritage and you can explore
some of its oldest buildings and discover how the rich and poor people lived and worked
on the vibrant quayside.

Experience life in a typical row or on the quayside in heydays of the 1950’s.
Follow Great Yarmouth’s transformation from a sandbank to the present day,
celebrating the town’s rich and unique maritime and fishing heritage.

A wonderful collection of Asian mammals, birds and reptiles which are housed in the
landscaped grounds and gardens of Thrigby Hall. A very enjoyable day out for all the
family.

The Sea-Life Centre brings you closer than you could ever imagine to the spectacular
underwater life. The centre is home to over 40 displays, including the Tropical
Ocean Display where you can see the largest inhabitants - the sharks.
