A deposit of 100% of the first night will be charged on the day of booking and is non refundable.
If either party seeks to vary or cancel the contract, this can only be done by mutual agreement.
Cancellation of the booking, without the consent of the proprietors, or failure to arrive on the day, whatever the reason, will result in full payment.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your holiday for any reason cancellation must be done in writing, via post, fax or email by the person who made the booking. Such cancellation will become effective from the date it reaches our office and a charge payable by you will be levied to compensate us for our estimated losses. Such charges are calculated in accordance with the following scale.
Over 21 days - Deposit
7 – 20 days - 50% of total cost
Less than 7 days - Full cost Your reservation is made with Sandie and Tony Stanley trading as The Shrewsbury Guest House and represents a legally binding contract between you and the guest house. We require a valid credit card to secure the booking by taking a deposit and reserve the right to charge the card for cancellations falling outside the permitted time scales, as detailed above. We also reserve the right to charge for any lost, stolen, damage or any other occurrences during your stay at the Shrewsbury. By entering into this contract you are authorising us to make the above charges to the card without any additional consent being required.
In the event that we are unable to obtain payment for any of the above charges we will pass on the necessary information to a Debt Recovery agency to recover the amount owing and any additional costs that are incurred during this process.
Keys
On your arrival you will be given a set of keys for the front door and for your room(s). Lost keys should be reported to us straight away and replacement keys will be charged for.

Your booking is a legally binding contract, which means if you cancel your holiday you will loose your deposit an could be faced with paying the whole balance. We strongly recommend, you insure to cover your bill |
